Hochkar is a versatile ski resort and frequent venue for ski racers, racing camps and training camps. You can choose between nine modern lifts and 18 kilometers (11 miles) of well-groomed runs.
Nature and the snow guns make sure you always have ample snow. You can ski down the runs on Hochkar from November to the end of April.

Hikers experience the wonderful world of the Göstling Alps from its most stunning side. Wildly romantic and pristine, this countryside has so many facets to explore. And you can do just that, on 157 kilometres of marked hiking trails that take you to hidden gorges, blooming alpine meadows and a host of other romantic spots. The Dürrenstein Massif is famous for its wealth of alpine fauna and flora. On one of its lush alpine meadows is the Ybbstalerhütte, a mountain cabin for overnight stays or camping. Other popular destinations for hikers are the alpine meadows Schwarzalm and Siebenhütten, the high-altitude plateau Hochreit and mount Hochkar.

The Wasserlochklamm in the Salza Valley near Palfau is an impressive experience. In fact, with its narrow canyons and five magnificent waterfalls, it is one of Austria´s most breathtaking natural spectacles.
